Supervision and Consultation
I have been inspired and supported by many mentors along the way. Today, I find one of the richest aspects of my daily work involves mentoring and learning from emerging professionals who are carving out their unique role in the field. For the past nine years, I served as a primary supervisor for Masters level clinicians at UNC School of Social Work and Smith School Social Work. I have also enjoyed training residents, Ph.D interns, and clinical staff on a variety of topics related to professional development. I provide clinical supervision for professionals working towards an LCSW. I offer case consultation on eating disorders for somatic providers. I am an approved Somatic Experiencing session provider for beginning year students.
I have been treating eating disorders for two decades and I have served as both a primary supervisor and group supervisor for professionals who desire further training in this area. I am a Certified Eating Disorder Specialist (CEDS) through the International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals and I am an approved supervisor for professionals who are interested in obtaining the CEDS.
